And here comes Orientation 2.
Will be in OG7 with Regina, Nicole, Wanling, Zhiqi, Elaine and many other unknowns.
The way they grouped us is most probably the DSA students who are in the Arts faculty.
The rest of the DSA students who are in the Science faculty are in OG10 and 11.
Hopefully us DSA students are grouped into a tribe together!
Aruba (?)!
I dont know how the orientation this time around would be like.
But Aruba (?) will rule them all!
Okay will cut the chase here.
Next week will mark the end of fun,
getting away with just about anything for the J1s,
more attention to schoolwork,
and no more uncertainties!
To take it more to the personal level,
it means that I have to promptly pass up tutorials (which I havent been doing),
visit the library more often to do self-studying (the abundance of textbooks!),
restricted to the pe attire (I will miss the Dri-Fits!)
and confirmed IN SAJC.
Well.
I will certainly miss those who would be moving on to their new respective schools.
Those in OG26 and 06A02.
YOU GUYS ROCK OKAY.
Was a little pekchek to make new friends.
Like, got to bond, know each other better and stuff.
It takes a lot of time and energy.
And here I am today,
I have bonded with them,
and half of them are leaving.
)':
Read an article in the January edition of Cleo magazine which I picked up today while waiting for Donna to finish cutting her hair.
It talks about whether better, longer-lasting friendships are derived from the friends you always meet up with everyday in school/work.
As in, your best friend would be in that environment you are in most of the time.
Well,
I agree with it to a very large extent because I find this really true.
And also,
your close friends are those in your environment.
Guess you'd have more time and space to work on your friendship.
The trust,
bonding,
hanging out together,
seeing each other so very often,
engaging in the same activities most of the time,
making plans together.
That's why I dont believe in long-distance relationships,
where couples believe they can both declare themself boyfriend-girlfriend-ever-so-confidently.
They might have met up in the Internet, on a vacation, etc.
Whatever it is,
can you imagine the paranoia both parties have to go through when both are at different ends of the world?
How do you know if the trust they have built is fake or true?
Will both parties be faithful?
Will both parties be faithful?
Okay they were just random thoughts.
Going for CG outing tomorrow at Sentosa
=D
Our first proper CG outing.
Haha.
We had gone to McDonald's, KFC, etc for lunch and all.
But this is different.
Heard that most of us are going
(:
Haha cant wait!
Bowling's slightly better.
Worked on timing, release, the backswing and a little bit of (failed) blind bowling.
Blind bowling is a tough nut to crack.
You'd have to close your eyes and make sure your ball goes to through all targets.
Us girls were laughing so much at each other at a pair of lanes today.
Lol.
For some reason we just ended up aiming at the gutter.
Uncle Henry said he was amused
x/
Got another cut in my bowling ball
):
Haii shitty alleys do shitty things to your ball.
After the ball was at the ball return,
noticed a white streak across the purple background of my bowling ball.
Me, Shit la! I got a cut! *swears somemore*
Regina Yim, where?! Where?! *looks at my arms*
Me, no no! My ball. *points at cut*
RY, Oh YOU got a cut!
-all girls laugh-
I consider my ball as a part of me.
Heart pain le.
Uncle Henry felt that my ball wasnt comfortable after he used it for a throw.
Asked me to go re-drill the thumb hole at a different angle at Walter.
Wanted to do it asap before the KL trip,
so lugged my ball around town today with Donna and her friend, Jasmine.
Was afraid of getting on the MRT!
It was in the +1 bag,
the small little bag which you can connect to the length of the bowling bag handle.
It looked like a 'suspicious article'.
Haha.
Like a bomb.
Hahaha.
Them unalert Singaporeans.
Never go call 999.
Haha major kidding.
Thanks, Donna, for helping me carry it from time to time
(:
Before I end off!
HAPPY SWEET 16, DONNA (on the 6th of March)!
